SUMMARY:Don Rones\, Sr. Scholarship Spring Scramble
DESCRIPTION:Blind draw team event. \n9am shotgun. \nFormat: Scramble with four man teams. All four players tee off on every hole and choose which ball to play. The player of the first shot\, which was chosen\, may not play the second shot. All players may then play the rest of the shots for the hole. Teams will be selected by blind-draw mixing handicap. \nComplimentary breakfast served at 7:30am. \nEligibility: Must be a Ukiah Men’s Golf Club member at least 18 years of age with an established handicap index. \nEntry Fee: $35 per player \nMoney winners qualify for the TOC.

SUMMARY:NCGA 4-Ball Net Qualifier
DESCRIPTION:Make your own 2man teams. \n8am Tee Times. \nFormat: Two man\, one best ball (aka 4-ball). Each player plays his own ball throughout. The team uses the best net score of the two players on each hole. Each player receives his handicap strokes according to the handicap number assigned to the holes on the scorecard. \nEach player’s handicap will be adjusted 90% using a maximum of an 18.4 index. Members with a higher index are eligible but must play using an 18.4 index. The difference between teammates’ handicaps may not be more than 8 strokes. \nTop teams (# of teams depends on # of entrants) advance to sectional qualifying\, which is in May at a place to be announced. Championship played TBD \nEligibility: Must be a Ukiah Men’s Golf Club member at least 18 years of age with an established handicap index.

SUMMARY:Two Man Scotch
DESCRIPTION:Make your own team. \n8:30am tee times. \nFormat: Two man alternating shot. Start every hole with both players teeing off\, and then play the others’ tee shot on their second shot. After both second shots have been hit\, choose one ball to play out the remainder of the hole as an alternate shot format. Example…. Player A and Player B both tee off\, Player A hitting the fairway and Player B hitting into the rough. Then Player A hits his next shot from where Player B’s drive ended up in the rough and he hits it in a green side bunker; and Player B hits his next shot from where Player A’s drive ended up in the fairway and hits it on the green. At this point\, Players A and B decide which ONE (1) ball to play (they choose the ball on the green and pick up the ball out of the bunker). Because Player B hit the shot onto the green\, Player A putts first followed by Player B\, Player A\, etc until the ball is in the hole. \nEligibility: Must be a Ukiah Men’s Golf Club member at least 18 years of age with an established handicap index. \nEntry Fee: $40 per team. \nMoney winners will qualify for the TOC

SUMMARY:Flag Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Individual Play \nFormat: A Flags Tournament is a format in which each golfer starts the round with a designated amount of strokes and plays until they run out. Each golfer in the tournament carries a flag with their name on it as they play and uses it to mark where their final shot landed. The player who makes it through the course the farthest using their designated number of strokes wins. The number of strokes a player starts with is determined using the player’s full or partial handicap. For a player with a handicap of 19\, they would receive 89 strokes at a par 70 course using full handicaps. When using full handicaps there’s a higher probability many golfers will make it through all 18 holes with strokes still left. In that case\, players with remaining strokes would return to the 1st tee and continue until they use up all their strokes. Alternatively\, after 18 holes\, the player with the most remaining strokes. In the event of a tie\, where multiple players have run out of strokes on the same hole\, like the 18th hole\, then the player with their final shot closest to the hole wins. \nEntry fee: $20 per player \nMoney winners will qualify for the TOC
